Senior Director Software Engineering

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Director Software Engineering to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.
This leader will guide multiple product-focused engineering teams responsible for delivering scalable, market-relevant technology capabilities. The role is centered on setting technical direction, strengthening architecture standards, and partnering closely with product leadership to align roadmaps with business needs. This is a highly visible opportunity to shape engineering practices, develop talent, and influence long-term platform and data strategy across the organization.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $286,200 – $326,700 annually
Responsibilities
Lead and manage multiple product-focused engineering teams
Shape long-term technical strategy and architecture standards
Align product roadmaps with scalable technology capabilities
Drive talent strategy and ensure equitable opportunities
Mentor engineers and guide their professional development
Collaborate with product managers to develop market-driven capabilities

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
7+ years of people management experience
9+ years in software engineering and solution architecture
9+ years in enterprise architecture and design patterns
9+ years in cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP)
9+ years in data architecture
