Platform Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Platform Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Business Services space.
This role will focus on building and supporting secure, reliable cloud infrastructure that enables mission-driven operations in federal environments. The Platform Engineer will work across engineering and cybersecurity teams to automate deployment, strengthen platform stability, and improve operational efficiency. Success in this position will require hands-on expertise with cloud services, scripting, and infrastructure automation.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $134,368 – $232,404 annually
Responsibilities
Configure and maintain cloud infrastructure in AWS and Azure
Provision and manage compute, storage, and networking resources
Develop reusable infrastructure as code for automation
Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment testing
Manage identity and access permissions and platform security
Monitor platform health and performance metrics
Troubleshoot incidents and document corrective actions
Qualifications
Active Secret security clearance required
Hands-on experience with AWS and Microsoft Azure cloud environments
Working knowledge of Linux or Windows administration
Proficient in Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar scripting languages
Familiarity with infrastructure as code practices
Experience with source control and automated deployment workflows
Understanding of IP networking and cloud service connectivity
