What makes the role meaty
Ensure physical presence at the slaughterhouse during Goat and Lamb slaughtering sessions to monitor quality and adherence to protocol
Proven experience in livestock procurement, meat industry operations, or agricultural sourcing
Identify and onboard new vendors in alignment with Licious Standard Specifications to ensure a consistent supply of Goat and Lamb
Conduct regular audits of vendor facilities to ensure compliance with respect to quality
Visit local markets (Shanties/Mandies) to evaluate and purchase live animals, ensuring the selection of healthy livestock
Develop a direct-to-farm network by identifying and engaging farmers for bulk purchases, reducing dependency on middlemen
Maintain real-time reporting on yield, quality, and processing standards
Travel extensively to rural markets (Shanties/Mandis) and work flexible hours in sync with slaughterhouse timing
We hope that you have
Any graduate degree
Computer literacy- MS Office (Excel & Word)
Negotiation skills to ensure competitive pricing and bulk deal closures
Ability to identify quality livestock and understand meat "specs" (weight, age,)
