Workers Compensation Claims Team Lead | Salt Lake City UT

For our client, we are seeking a Workers Compensation Claims Team Lead to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.
This role will oversee complex claims handling within a fast-paced insurance environment, with a focus on guiding team performance and ensuring timely, cost-effective resolution outcomes. The position will work closely with adjusters, vendors, and other stakeholders to support litigation management, compliance, and workload coordination. It also offers the opportunity to influence process consistency, team accountability, and operational effectiveness across the claims function.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $100,000 – $115,000 annually
Responsibilities
Analyze and process complex claims to determine exposure
Manage the litigation process for timely and cost-effective claims resolution
Coordinate vendor referrals for investigations and litigation management
Lead team meetings and assign accountability for follow-up items
Gather compliance and claims processing information for team discussions
Assist in interviewing and providing feedback on adjuster candidates
Support team lead in reviewing adjuster workloads and suggesting adjustments
Qualifications
5+ years of claims management experience or equivalent education and experience
High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
Professional certification relevant to the line of business preferred
Knowledge of California or Nevada jurisdiction
Strong supervisory skills with experience in team leadership
