About the Role
You'll run patient accounts receivable (AR) operations for the clinics using Ivy AR Assistant. This includes setting up each clinic, handling balances that need human intervention, and ensuring every practice sees results.
You'll be the expert on how collections work in practice and help shape how the product evolves.
Key Responsibilities
Onboard New Clinics: Review patient AR, establish collection rules, define payment plan options, and determine agency handoff points.
Manage Complex Patient Balances: Handle large balances, disputes, payment plan requests, and patient questions.
Track Clinic Performance: Monitor recovery by balance age, time to pay, front-desk payments, and overall AR reduction.
Report Results: Share performance updates with practice owners and billing managers, identifying opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with Product Teams: Improve outreach messages, workflows, and reporting based on operational insights.
Ensure Compliance: Ensure collections activities follow applicable US rules regarding patient outreach, consent, and disputes.
What We're Looking For
Experience in US healthcare patient AR, self-pay, or early-out collections, gained at an RCM company, collection agency, or physician practice.
Patient self-pay experience is required. Insurance AR experience alone is not sufficient.
Strong understanding of statement cycles, payment plans, write-offs, and agency placement.
Familiarity with practice EHRs, billing systems, and AR reports.
Team lead, supervisor, or billing manager experience is a plus.
Specialty clinic experience, such as allergy, ENT, or dermatology, is a plus.
