Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Jira Developer role based in Bengaluru South. The Jira Developer will configure, customize, and maintain Jira projects, workflows, screens, and dashboards to support development, support, and business teams. The role involves creating and managing custom fields, automation rules, and integrations with other tools, as well as optimizing Jira performance and user experience. The Jira Developer will collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into Jira configurations, and document standards and best practices. The role also includes providing user support, troubleshooting issues, and training team members on Jira usage and processes.
Qualifications
Experience with Jira administration, including setting up projects, workflows, issue types, fields, permissions, and dashboards.
Skills in configuring Jira automation, filters, boards, and reports to support agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
Experience integrating Jira with other tools (e.g., Confluence, Bitbucket, CI/CD tools) and working with REST APIs or plugins.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience gathering requirements and translating them into technical configurations.
Proficiency in documentation and communication, including preparing user guides and conducting training or knowledge-sharing sessions.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in software development or DevOps environments, and familiarity with issue tracking and project management practices.
Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, manage multiple tasks, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
