About the role

Description supplied by the original job listing.

Until recently, I hated the idea of a Chief Product and Technology Officer. I've named this role Chief Product Officer because, with AI, I now sincerely believe you can find someone who is 90% product and 10% technology, and AI can do the rest.
This is a remote role based in Vietnam, with at least 4 hours of overlap with Sydney business hours.
What Seby is
Seby builds an AI brain for small and mid-sized services businesses: recruiters, agencies, consultancies and firms like them. Each customer gets their own always-on agent, plugged into their email, calendar, meetings, chat and documents. It drafts emails in the owner's voice, preps and debriefs meetings, keeps one timeline of every contact and deal, builds proposals and dashboards, and pulls order out of messy PDFs and spreadsheets. Customers are paying, and demand is ahead of what we can ship.
Why this role exists
I want to be upfront about the gap. Our customers can't tell us what to build. They know the work is weighing them down, but they can't say which tasks, in what shape, to what standard. Someone has to sit with them, understand what they actually need, and turn it into product they use every day. Today that's me, in the gaps between everything else. This role takes it over and leads it.
What the role is
A hands-on product leader: product owner, product manager and product tester in one. You set the product strategy and direction, and you also get your hands dirty every day.
• Understand the customer. Sit with owners and their teams, watch how they work, and find the outputs they need before they can put them into words.
• Own the experience. Every screen, every message the agent sends, every click. You decide what good looks like, from the first login to the Monday-morning routine, and you sweat the UX and UI until it feels obvious.
• Lead the product. Set the direction, own the roadmap, and decide what we build next across the whole customer base. When one customer's improvement can make every customer better, you spot it.
• Write it down. Every substantial feature starts with a clear spec: the screens, the flows, the rules and how we'll know it works. AI helps you draft it. Your judgment locks it.
• Test it like the customer. You try every change on the real product, as the customer would, on their laptop and their phone. If it wouldn't survive their Monday morning, it doesn't ship.
• Make it stick. Shipping isn't the finish line. You onboard and train each customer until it's part of how they run the business. Built, delivered, in use: all three.
Build, test, iterate, fast
You'll work hand in hand with our lead full-stack engineer and tech lead: experienced, strong and easy to work with. They look after all of the technology. You bring the what and the why, they bring the how, and together you build, test and iterate as quickly as possible. The loop between "a customer said this" and "it's live and they're using it" is measured in days.
The technology part (the 10%)
You don't need to code. You do need to be comfortable with AI tools and curious about how things work. You'll use Claude every day to write specs, review what's built and check results, and you'll know enough to spot when an answer is wrong.
You
• 10+ years as a product owner or product manager in B2B software that customers pay for.
• A strong eye for UX and UI, and a track record of products people actually adopt.
• Many software onboarding or implementation projects delivered to English-speaking clients.
• You've shipped AI or agent-powered features, or you're itching to, and you already use AI tools daily.
• You write with precision. Your specs remove ambiguity rather than moving it somewhere else.
• Based in Vietnam, with at least 4 hours of overlap with Sydney business hours.
How to apply
Five steps. The first is a video, and both trials are paid.
A 10-minute screen-share video. Take us through the best product you've built or shaped with AI recently. Show it running, how you defined it, how you tested it as the customer, and one thing that went wrong and how you caught it.
Interview. If your video stands out, we go deep on your work and ours.
One-day paid trial. A real, scoped product task: a customer problem turned into a spec, tested on the live product.
Five-day paid trial. A week working with us on real customer work.
