About the Role:
We are looking for a Backend Developer with strong expertise in Python and PHP to support and improve a broad application landscape that enables essential business and operational processes.
In this role, you will work with existing systems, contribute to backend development, and take ownership of solutions from development through production. You will be responsible for maintaining system stability, improving automation and integrations, and proactively resolving technical issues. The role also offers opportunities to explore AI-driven improvements and collaborate with teams across the organization to deliver secure, reliable, and efficient solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and improve backend applications using Python and PHP.
Take ownership of assigned systems and solutions throughout the development and production lifecycle.
Design, build, and maintain APIs, integrations, and database logic.
Troubleshoot technical issues, support operations, and monitor automated workflows and integrations.
Drive continuous improvements in system stability, performance, automation, and reliability.
Identify opportunities to use AI and automation to improve existing processes and solutions.
Collaborate with other teams, share knowledge, and contribute ideas to improve technical solutions.
Follow established security practices and maintain high standards for code quality and system reliability.
Work with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development workflows.
Requirements:
Strong development skills in Python and PHP.
Solid backend development experience working with production systems and large existing codebases.
Experience designing, building, and maintaining APIs, integrations, and database logic.
Knowledge of MySQL and PostgreSQL.
Good understanding of secure coding practices and modern software development principles.
Experience with Git, CI/CD, and modern development workflows.
Comfortable working in console-based and Unix environments.
Ability to work independently, take ownership, and make informed technical decisions.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a focus on system stability and reliability.
Good communication and collaboration skills, with a willingness to share knowledge and contribute across teams.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with JavaScript, Node.js, Vue, or other frontend technologies.
Experience with secure AI deployments, including on-premises models and environments.
Experience integrating AI models into applications, workflows, or automation solutions.
