Position Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Lead/Principal Technical Consultant with over 12 years of enterprise financial systems experience, specializing in NetSuite Planning and Budgeting (NSPB) and the Oracle EPM (Hyperion/Essbase) cloud ecosystem. This senior leader will architect, design, and oversee the execution of data extraction pipelines from multi-dimensional financial cubes into our centralized Data Warehouse.
The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between complex financial modeling architecture and modern data engineering pipelines, working alongside our core NetSuite ERP team in Hyderabad to deliver high-impact enterprise KPIs.
Core Responsibilities:
• Pipeline Architecture & Strategy: Lead the end-to-end design, development, and optimization of robust ETL/ELT pipelines to extract financial models, rolling forecasts, budgets, and KPIs out of NSPB/Oracle EPM Cloud environments.
• Multi-Dimensional Cube Optimization: Serve as the subject matter expert on querying and interpreting multi-dimensional intersections across dense and sparse dimensions within Oracle Essbase / EPM cubes.
• Integration Automation: Design corporate-grade automation frameworks for data extraction utilizing EPM Automate, Oracle EPM REST APIs, and the Data Exchange/Data Integration layer.
• Technical Governance & Collaboration: Partner with the NetSuite ERP Lead to govern data definitions, map actuals vs. forecasts, and ensure strict reconciliation between transactional data and warehouse metrics.
• Team Leadership: Mentor junior data engineers on financial data modeling concepts and multi-dimensional database mechanics.
Must-Have Technical Skills (Sourcing Keywords):
• Platforms: NetSuite Planning and Budgeting (NSPB), Oracle EPM Cloud (Planning, PBCS, or EPBCS), Oracle Hyperion, Essbase Cubes.
• Extraction & Integration: EPM Automate, EPM Integration Agent, Data Exchange, Oracle EPM REST APIs.
• Data Warehousing & Data Ops: Advanced SQL, Python (or Shell scripting), and hands-on experience moving data into enterprise cloud warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, Redshift, or Azure Data Factory).
• Core Concepts: Deep knowledge of Financial Performance Management (FPM), multidimensional database design, and calculation scripts (MaxL, Essbase calc scripts).
Preferred Experience & Qualifications:
• 12+ years of total experience with at least 5+ years dedicated heavily to Cloud EPM/NSPB implementations and data engineering.
• Proven track record of delivering at least 2 major financial Data Warehouse or large-scale BI migration projects.
• Strong understanding of complex financial workflows (e.g., currency translations, eliminations, multi-gap accounting, variance driver analysis).
