About endurace.pro
endurace.pro is building a discovery and management platform for the global endurance sports ecosystem.
We help athletes discover endurance events across disciplines and geographies, while empowering race organisers to bring their events onto one platform and manage the entire event lifecycle, from the initial idea and planning to registrations, race-day execution, and post-event operations.
We are building a product that connects athletes, race organisers, and the broader endurance sports community. As an early-stage product, we are looking for people who enjoy building from scratch, solving real-world problems, and taking ownership of what they create.
About the Role
We are looking for a curious, hands-on Software Engineer (Full Stack) to join our team as an SDE I or Intern.
You will work closely with the founding team to design, develop, test, and improve our website and application. This role offers the opportunity to contribute across the entire product development lifecycle, from understanding user problems and building new features to testing functionality, fixing bugs, and shipping production-ready software.
We are looking for someone who is comfortable learning new technologies, thinks beyond just writing code, and takes responsibility for building a reliable, scalable, and user-friendly product.
What You'll Do
- Full-Stack Development: Build, maintain, and improve end-to-end product features across our website, applications, backend services, APIs, and database.
- Product Development: Translate product requirements and user needs into functional, intuitive, and reliable software.
- Build from Scratch: Contribute to new features and systems, from initial architecture and implementation to deployment and iteration.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Write and execute test cases, perform functional and regression testing, identify edge cases, and ensure features work as expected.
- Debugging & Maintenance: Investigate issues, fix bugs, improve performance, and maintain existing product functionality.
- Product Ownership: Take responsibility for assigned features throughout their lifecycle, including development, testing, release, and post-release improvements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the founding team to prioritise tasks, discuss technical approaches, and deliver product improvements.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve code quality, user experience, development workflows, and overall product reliability.
What We're Looking For
- Strong fundamentals in programming, data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving.
- Working knowledge of frontend development, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and a modern framework such as React or Next.js.
- Familiarity with backend development, REST APIs, server-side logic, and databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
- Understanding of Git, version control, debugging, and software development best practices.
- Basic knowledge of software testing, including functional testing, API testing, and regression testing.
- A willingness to understand the product and its users, rather than simply implement assigned tasks.
- Ability to work independently, communicate clearly, and take ownership of deliverables.
- A strong learning mindset and the ability to adapt in a fast-moving startup environment.
Good to have, but not mandatory:
- Experience with React Native, Flutter, or other mobile application development frameworks.
- Familiarity with automated testing tools such as Jest, Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent.
- Experience deploying applications using cloud platforms or modern hosting services.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, application monitoring, and performance optimisation.
- Previous experience building a personal project, MVP, startup product, or open-source contribution.
Who Should Apply?
This role is suited for recent graduates, final-year students, interns, and early-career software engineers who want hands-on experience building a real product.
You may be a good fit if you:
- Enjoy building products from the ground up.
- Are comfortable working across frontend, backend, and testing.
- Like solving practical problems and figuring things out independently.
- Believe software engineering involves product thinking, quality, and ownership, not just writing code.
- Want to work in an early-stage startup where your contributions can directly influence the product.
We value demonstrated skills, curiosity, problem-solving ability, and a strong portfolio of projects over years of experience alone.
Why Join endurace.pro?
- Build a product from the ground up: Work on real product challenges and contribute to core platform development.
- Take ownership: See your work move from an idea to a live feature used by real users.
- Work closely with the founding team: Participate in technical and product decisions, with direct visibility into how a startup operates.
- Learn across the stack: Gain practical experience in development, testing, deployment, and product improvement.
- Make a meaningful impact: Help build technology that makes endurance sports more accessible and simplifies event management for race organisers.
