Role Description This full-time, on-site Building/Residential Architect role is based in Chennai. The Architect will be responsible for designing functional, safe, and aesthetically sound residential and building layouts that align with fire safety and engineering standards. Day-to-day tasks include preparing architectural drawings and 3D models, coordinating with engineering and project teams, and ensuring compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and client specifications. The role involves reviewing project requirements, performing site assessments, integrating architectural concepts with specialized testing infrastructure where needed, and supporting project execution through design revisions and documentation. The Architect will also participate in design reviews, collaborate with vendors and contractors, and contribute to continuous improvement in design processes and standards.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Architecture and Architectural Design, including residential and building planning.
Experience with Integration of architectural designs with engineering systems and safety requirements.
Proficiency in Project Management, including timelines, coordination with cross-functional teams, and documentation.
Familiarity with relevant Software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar design and modeling software).
Knowledge of local building codes, fire safety standards, and construction practices, preferably in India.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented approach with the ability to translate technical requirements into practical designs.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work on-site with engineers, contractors, and clients.
Prior experience in industrial, residential, or safety-focused projects is an advantage.
