Role Description The Architectural Drafter will support the design team by producing accurate architectural drawings and construction documentation for all residential projects. This remote role includes developing plans, elevations, sections, and details based on design concepts and direction from project leadership. Day-to-day tasks involve interpreting sketches, coordinating revisions, ensuring drawings align with building codes and standards, and maintaining organized drawing sets. The drafter will collaborate with designers, and external consultants to resolve technical issues, update documents through various design phases, and prepare materials suitable for permitting and construction. The role also includes consistent communication via digital tools to manage deadlines, clarify requirements, and support project delivery across multiple concurrent projects.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Architectural Drawings and Construction Drawings, with the ability to create clear, buildable documentation.
Foundational knowledge of Architecture and Planning principles for high-end residential projects.
Proficiency in technical Drawing, including translating conceptual sketches into detailed CAD or BIM plans.
Experience with industry-standard drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar) and digital collaboration tools.
Understanding of residential building codes, permitting requirements, and construction practices in the U.S.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a remote environment.
Effective written and verbal communication skills and willingness to collaborate with a distributed project team.
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in architecture, drafting, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
