JOB DESCRIPTION
AVP – Product Management
Experience: 5–8 Years
Department: Product & Technology
Employment Type: Full-Time
Industry Preference: EdTech / SaaS / Consumer Technology
About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on, execution-driven AVP – Product Management to
independently own the complete product lifecycle—from identifying business and customer
needs to conceptualizing, developing, testing, launching, and continuously improving digital
products.
The candidate will take end-to-end ownership of Intellipaat's learning platforms, LMS, student
experience, assessments, CRM, and other technology products.
This role requires someone who can think like a business owner, translate ideas into
product functionalities, drive technology execution, and ensure exceptional customer
experience with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Strategy & Ideation
● Identify business challenges, customer pain points, and opportunities for new products
and features.
● Define product functionalities, roadmaps, priorities, and measurable business outcomes.
● Anticipate future student, learner, and business needs to develop innovative, scalable
solutions.
2. Product Requirements & UI/UX
● Gather requirements from business teams, students, faculty, and other stakeholders.
● Convert requirements into detailed PRDs, user journeys, functional specifications, and
acceptance criteria.
● Work closely with UI/UX designers to build intuitive, engaging, and world-class digital
experiences.
● Define complete workflows, including business logic, edge cases, and exception
scenarios.
3. End-to-End Development Ownership
● Directly coordinate with front-end developers, back-end developers, designers, and
testers.
● Own sprint planning, task prioritization, development progress, and delivery timelines.
● Resolve functional gaps, technical dependencies, and execution bottlenecks.
● Ensure developed features meet business requirements and user expectations.
4. Testing, Deployment & Quality Assurance
● Own functional testing, UAT, end-to-end validation, and edge-case testing.
● Ensure defects, usability issues, and functional gaps are resolved before launch.
● Coordinate go-live with technology, business, operations, and support teams.
● Validate all critical functionalities after deployment and ensure timely resolution of
production issues.
5. Customer Experience & Product Optimization
● Analyze actual customer behavior, product adoption, engagement, drop-offs, and user
satisfaction.
● Collect feedback from students, faculty, customers, and internal teams to identify
improvement areas.
● Continuously improve product usability, learning experience, retention, and operational
efficiency.
● Take ownership of recurring customer issues and ensure permanent solutions.
6. Innovation & Future Product Development
● Identify opportunities to introduce AI, automation, personalization, and innovative
learning experiences.
● Benchmark products against leading global EdTech and technology platforms.
● Conceptualize and launch new products addressing evolving student and business
challenges.
7. Cross-Functional Leadership
● Act as the single point of accountability across product, engineering, UI/UX, QA, and
business teams.
● Independently drive decisions, remove bottlenecks, and ensure execution without
continuous management intervention.
● Provide leadership with clear updates on priorities, timelines, product performance, and
business impact.
Required Skills & Qualifications
● 5–8 years of product management experience with proven end-to-end product
ownership.
● Strong understanding of front-end, back-end, APIs, integrations, and software
development processes.
● Hands-on experience with PRDs, UI/UX, Figma, Jira, Agile/Scrum, UAT, and product
analytics.
● Strong ability to understand business problems and translate them into practical product
solutions.
● Experience taking digital products from concept through development, launch, and
continuous optimization.
● Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management
skills.
● Strong experience with claude, & Gen AI tools
● Experience in EdTech, LMS, SaaS, or consumer technology products preferred.
Ideal Candidate
We need a product builder and owner, not a product coordinator—someone who can
independently understand business problems, visualize solutions, define functionalities, drive
developers and designers, test thoroughly, launch successfully, and continuously improve
products based on real customer behavior.
Complete ownership: From product idea to development, deployment, customer
adoption, and measurable business impact.
