Role Description
The Junior AI Developer (part-time) role at Inspire Careers Finance is a remote position focused on supporting the design, development, and testing of AI-driven features within the learning and skills intelligence platform. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing and refining machine learning components, assisting with data preprocessing and model evaluation, and contributing to AI workflows that power CV analysis, skills mapping, and personalized learning recommendations. The role involves collaborating with senior developers and product stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical solutions, documenting code and experiments, and helping maintain and improve model performance and reliability. The Junior AI Developer will also support exploratory research into new AI approaches relevant to pattern recognition, natural language understanding, and user personalization, while following best practices in software development and data ethics.
Qualifications
Strong foundational knowledge in Computer Science and Software Development, including data structures, algorithms, and coding in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python).
Understanding of core AI and Machine Learning concepts such as Pattern Recognition and Neural Networks, with experience building or experimenting with basic models.
Familiarity with Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques and tools, ideally applied to text analysis, information extraction, or recommendation systems.
Ability to write clean, testable code, use version control (e.g., Git), and work with common ML libraries or frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to interpret model outputs and performance metrics.
Currently pursuing or having completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Interest in career development, financial markets, or education technology, and motivation to learn new tools and methods quickly.
Comfort working remotely, collaborating asynchronously, and communicating clearly with technical and non-technical team members.
