Role Description The Senior Accountant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll support.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong core accounting skills, including general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliation.
Candidates should possess skills in financial reporting, budgeting, variance analysis, and cash flow management.
Candidates should possess knowledge of tax regulations, statutory compliance, and coordination with auditors and regulatory bodies.
Candidates should possess proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheets (e.g., Tally, ERP systems, MS Excel) and be comfortable working with digital records.
Candidates should possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and external partners.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications such as CA, CMA, or equivalent are an advantage.
Relevant experience in logistics, infrastructure, or related industries, and familiarity with cost accounting for transport and warehousing, is beneficial.
