We are looking for a Network Security Support consultant for one of our clients, a bank based in New York.
About the Role
Join a Network Security team driving a Firewall Rules Enhancements project across the US estate. The team is tackling a growing backlog of firewall rule-base audits and clean-up, and is rolling out AI-assisted automation to accelerate reviews. You'll bring hands-on capacity to execute the backlog and support the automation effort.
What You'll Do
Review and manage firewall rule bases (Palo Alto, Check Point, Cisco ASA/Firepower, Fortinet)
Run rule recertifications, clean-up initiatives and rule-set optimization
Analyze firewall rules for compliance, security risks and operational effectiveness
Support audit remediation: evidence collection, documentation, issue tracking and action-item closure
Work with regulatory, audit, risk and compliance teams to meet remediation deadlines
Support the AI-assisted automation of firewall rule reviews
What You Bring
3+ years in Network Security, with a strong focus on firewall governance, operations and remediation
Hands-on firewall rule-base management and review experience
Strong understanding of network security controls, firewall policies, rule lifecycle management and access governance
Audit remediation experience alongside regulatory, audit, risk and compliance teams
Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and ServiceNow or Jira
Automation, scripting or AI-assisted security operations knowledge is highly desirable
Strong organizational, documentation and communication skills
