IT Development and System Support

The Role
Are you someone who enjoys technology, solving problems, and figuring out how things work? Dakota Kitchen & Bath is looking for an IT Developer & Systems Support Specialist to join its team in Sioux Falls. This position combines software development, database reporting, and hands-on IT support, giving you the opportunity to work across different areas of the business. What You’ll Do
Develop and maintain internal applications that support business operations.
Work with databases and SQL to manage information and support reporting needs.
Create and maintain reports that help employees access useful business information.
Troubleshoot software, computer, printer, and network connectivity issues.
Set up computers, configure user accounts, and help employees get the technology they need to do their jobs.
Assist with user access, networking, Windows systems, and other IT infrastructure.
Work directly with employees to understand their challenges and develop practical technology solutions.
Learn new tools and technologies as business needs and systems evolve.
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
Education, training, or experience in computer science, software development, information technology, or a related field.
Some programming experience through work, education, personal projects, or other hands-on learning.
Basic understanding of databases and SQL, or the ability to demonstrate a strong foundation for learning them.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
Curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to ask questions and learn new skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with VB.NET, C#, or another programming language.
Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.
Experience creating reports with Crystal Reports or similar reporting tools.
Familiarity with Visual Studio or other development environments.
Exposure to Active Directory, computer networking, Windows administration, or user support.
