About the role
Description supplied by the original job listing.
Company Description WalterSignal builds AI-powered sales intelligence systems for B2B teams that have outgrown standard off-the-shelf tools. The company replaces manual research and generic enrichment platforms with custom pipelines that score accounts against each client’s ideal customer profile, map contacts to complex buying committees, and surface trigger signals from specialized sources such as SEC filings and government databases. WalterSignal delivers end-to-end go-to-market packages, including enriched target lists, persona-mapped contacts, and tailored outreach playbooks for clients in energy, manufacturing, SaaS, and professional services. Its infrastructure runs on a fleet of open-source and commercial AI models, supported by a proprietary research pipeline that produces cited intelligence at very low marginal cost. WalterSignal focuses on measurable outcomes, having delivered large-scale enrichment engagements with high discovery rates and significantly reduced recurring data costs.
Role Description The Information Technology Manager is a full-time, remote role responsible for overseeing WalterSignal’s core infrastructure, security posture, and internal technology operations. This role manages cloud and on-premise environments supporting AI workloads, ensures high availability and performance for production systems, and implements best practices for data security, backup, and disaster recovery. The Information Technology Manager collaborates closely with engineering and product teams to design scalable environments for custom data pipelines, monitors systems for reliability and cost optimization, and maintains access controls, identity management, and compliance documentation. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing IT service requests, coordinating vendor relationships, maintaining device and software inventories, and continuously improving internal IT processes and tooling to support a distributed team.
Qualifications
Strong experience with IT infrastructure management, including cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure) and Linux-based environments.
Proficiency in network administration and security fundamentals, including VPNs, firewalls, endpoint protection, and identity and access management.
Background in supporting data-intensive or AI/ML workloads, with familiarity in monitoring, logging, and performance optimization tools.
Experience implementing backup strategies, disaster recovery plans, and configuration management for production systems.
Ability to manage SaaS tools and licenses, oversee device provisioning, and support remote team members across time zones.
Solid understanding of IT governance, documentation practices, and compliance considerations relevant to B2B and enterprise clients.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate technical constraints into clear options for non-technical stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Prior experience in a startup or high-growth environment is a plus; familiarity with sales intelligence or B2B data ecosystems is beneficial.
