Many of your tasks will include:
Serve as a first point of contact for client emails and requests, resolving routine HR questions directly and escalating more complex issues appropriately.
Build strong client relationships through responsive, professional, and personal communication.
Coordinate onboarding and offboarding for client employees, including paperwork, system setup, and required notices.
Support client payroll processing, including reviewing timecards, entering payroll changes, and resolving discrepancies.
Create and post job descriptions, screen applicants, conduct initial phone screens, and coordinate interviews.
Enroll new employees in benefits, process qualifying life events, and assist with client open enrollment.
Maintain accurate employee records and work within client HRIS platforms.
Assist with client compliance tasks, policy updates, and employee handbook revisions.
Track and report progress on client tasks and projects to keep work moving without constant oversight.
Take on more responsibility over time as you develop toward a Client HR Manager role.
Other duties as assigned.
Key Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
1-2 years of hands-on HR experience required (generalist, coordinator, assistant, or specialist roles).
Experience with payroll processing and benefits administration preferred.
Experience using an HR Information System (HRIS).
aPHR or SHRM-CP certification a plus, or a willingness to pursue one.
Self-motivated, with the ability to prioritize and work independently without regular direction.
Highly organized and able to manage multiple client requests at once.
Strong written communication skills, especially by email.
Highly detail-oriented, with sound judgment about when to escalate.
Able to self-manage in a remote environment.
