Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Interior Designer role based in Amritsar. The Interior Designer will be responsible for developing design concepts, preparing mood boards, and creating layout options that align with client requirements and project budgets. Daily tasks include producing construction drawings, coordinating with architects and contractors, selecting FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment), and overseeing material and finish specifications. The role involves conducting site visits, measuring spaces, monitoring work progress to ensure design intent is maintained, and resolving on-site design issues when needed. The Interior Designer will also participate in client meetings, present design proposals, incorporate feedback, and collaborate with the team to deliver projects on schedule and to a high standard of quality.
Qualifications
Ability to plan and organize interior spaces effectively, demonstrating strong skills in Space Planning and Interior Design.
Knowledge of Architecture and Construction Drawings, including the ability to produce or interpret detailed plans and technical documentation.
Experience with FF&E selection, including furniture, fixtures, finishes, and equipment that meet both aesthetic and functional requirements.
Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar tools, and familiarity with presentation tools like Adobe Creative Suite or MS Office.
Strong visual and spatial awareness, attention to detail, and understanding of materials, color theory, lighting, and current design trends.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with clients, vendors, and project teams and manage multiple projects at once.
Relevant diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field; prior experience in residential or commercial interior projects is preferred.
Willingness to work on-site in Amritsar, conduct regular site visits, and adapt to project needs and timelines.
