Role Description The Research and Development Specialist will work on a contract basis in a fully remote capacity, collaborating with cross-functional teams to explore, design, and validate new digital solutions and product enhancements. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and conducting research initiatives, analyzing data and emerging technologies, and transforming findings into actionable product concepts or technical recommendations. The specialist will support experimental design, coordinate with development teams to test and refine prototypes, and prepare clear documentation, reports, and presentations for internal stakeholders. The role involves continuous monitoring of industry trends, competitor offerings, and user feedback to identify innovation opportunities that align with Raintor’s strategic objectives.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Research and Development (R&D) experience, including designing and executing innovation-focused projects.
Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret data, evaluate experimental results, and support evidence-based decisions.
Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to present findings, collaborate with technical and non-technical teams, and produce clear documentation.
Candidates should possess hands-on Research capabilities and, where applicable, Laboratory Skills relevant to testing, prototyping, or experimental validation.
Experience in IT, software, or digital product environments, with familiarity in emerging technologies such as AI or automation, is beneficial.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related discipline) or equivalent practical experience.
Proven ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
Strong problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and openness to continuous learning and innovation.
