Role Description The Tekla Expert/Modeler will be responsible for creating, modifying, and managing detailed 3D steel models using Tekla Structures for a variety of industrial and commercial projects. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting structural and architectural drawings, preparing shop and erection drawings, coordinating with engineers and project managers, and ensuring adherence to relevant codes, standards, and client specifications. The role involves checking model accuracy, resolving clashes, updating models and drawings based on design changes, and supporting fabrication and site teams with clear, precise documentation. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kozhikode, requiring close collaboration with the local engineering team and consistent communication with global project stakeholders.
Qualifications
Strong proficiency in Tekla Structures for steel detailing and 3D modeling, including experience with complex industrial and commercial projects.
Solid understanding of structural steel design and detailing principles, relevant codes and standards, and fabrication and erection processes.
Ability to interpret and coordinate structural, architectural, and mechanical drawings, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with engineers, project managers, and fabrication teams in a fast-paced environment.
Good problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve model clashes and drawing inconsistencies.
Experience with other detailing or modeling software (e.g., SDS2, AutoCAD, Revit) is an advantage.
Relevant technical qualification in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related discipline; prior experience in steel detailing is preferred.
Ability to work on-site in Kozhikode, manage deadlines, and maintain high-quality output across multiple projects.
