Scrum Master (Restaurant Industry Exp Needed)

Role Description This is a remote, contract role for a Scrum Master with experience in the restaurant industry. The Scrum Master will facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives for cross-functional teams supporting restaurant-focused technology initiatives. Responsibilities include guiding teams in writing clear user stories, removing impediments, and ensuring adherence to Agile principles and best practices. The role involves close collaboration with product owners, business stakeholders, and software development teams to prioritize work, improve delivery predictability, and align outcomes with restaurant operations needs. The Scrum Master will track and report team performance metrics, foster continuous improvement, and support effective communication across technical and non-technical partners.
Qualifications
Agile and Scrum facilitation skills, including Sprint Planning and leading core Scrum ceremonies.
Strong Analytical Skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and support data-driven decision-making.
Excellent Communication skills for collaborating with technical teams, business stakeholders, and restaurant operations partners.
Experience creating and refining User Stories, managing product backlogs, and aligning requirements with business goals.
Understanding of Software Development processes and lifecycle; ability to work effectively with engineering teams.
Proven experience as a Scrum Master or Agile coach, preferably in the restaurant, hospitality, or retail industry.
Familiarity with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar) and basic knowledge of CI/CD practices.
Relevant certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent are preferred.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and support distributed teams.
