Director Project Operations

Role Description The Director Project Operations at Tayanch Mikromoliya Banki is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing end-to-end project delivery and operational excellence across the organization. This role leads cross-functional project teams, defines project scopes and timelines, and ensures initiatives are delivered on schedule, within budget, and aligned with strategic objectives. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring project performance metrics, optimizing operational processes, managing resource allocation, and resolving risks or issues that may impact project outcomes. The Director collaborates with senior leadership to prioritize projects, improve customer-facing processes, and implement best practices in microfinance operations. This role also involves preparing reports, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Operations Management skills, including process optimization, resource planning, and performance monitoring.
Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills to interpret data, evaluate project results, and support evidence-based decision-making.
Candidates should possess solid Project Management skills, including planning, risk management, stakeholder coordination, and delivery oversight.
Candidates should possess Budgeting skills to manage project financials, forecast costs, and ensure efficient use of funds.
Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to maintain high service standards and support customer-centric project outcomes.
Experience leading operations or projects in banking, microfinance, or financial services is highly beneficial.
Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration abilities, with experience managing remote and cross-functional teams.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Proficiency with project management tools and productivity software; familiarity with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.
