Key Responsibilities
- People Management & Leadership: Lead, mentor, and build high-performing teams of data center technicians across shifts. Set performance goals, foster inclusion, and drive professional development.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure continuous uptime of server infrastructure and critical facilities. Monitor metrics, SLA compliance, and operational KPIs.
- Incident & Risk Management: Own major incident responses related to hardware or facility outages, conduct root-cause analysis (RCA), and implement preventive measures.
- Cross-functional Coordination: Collaborate with regional project management, supply chain/inventory logistics, security, and external vendors/contractors for expansions or upgrades.
- Compliance and Safety: Maintain rigorous physical security standards, safety compliance, and environmental controls within the data center.
Typical Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Several years of experience in data center operations, critical environment management, IT infrastructure management, or military technical leadership, with prior experience managing people.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of hyperscale cloud infrastructure, server hardware, networking, or facility mechanical/electrical systems (HVAC, power distribution).
- Soft Skills: Strong crisis management, stakeholder communication, strategic planning, and cross-group collaboration capabilities.
