Role Description The Purchase Engineer is a full-time, on-site role located in Satara Taluka. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end purchasing activities, including vendor identification, quotation analysis, and finalization of purchase orders in line with project and production requirements. Daily tasks include coordinating with suppliers and internal departments, monitoring material availability, tracking delivery schedules, and ensuring compliance with company procurement policies. The Purchase Engineer will also analyze costs, negotiate pricing and terms, maintain accurate purchasing records, and support inventory control to optimize material flow. Collaboration with engineering, production, and finance teams is expected to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of purchasing processes, purchase management, and purchase planning.
Hands-on experience with creating, reviewing, and tracking purchase orders.
Solid analytical skills to evaluate quotations, compare suppliers, and optimize costs.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and maintain vendor relationships.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent technical qualification.
Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or engineering procurement environment is preferred.
Proficiency in MS Office and basic ERP or procurement software tools.
Strong communication, negotiation, and documentation skills.
Attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and ability to work independently on-site in Satara Taluka.
