Head of Market Development, Europe - Dairy industry

Its data and pricing benchmarks are widely used across the dairy value chain. they are now looking to hire a Head of Market Development, Europe to drive new business growth across Europe and MENA by acquiring new suppliers, buyers, data customers, and strategic partners. The role focuses on opening new markets, expanding platform adoption, and building long-term commercial relationships.
New Business Acquisition
Identify, prospect, and win new suppliers and commercial participants.
Build and manage a strong pipeline of opportunities.
Develop tailored value propositions and manage complex sales cycles.
Buyer & Market Growth
Drive participation from new buyers across Europe and MENA.
Represent the business at industry events, conferences, and networking forums.
Work closely with Marketing to generate qualified opportunities.
Data & Insights Sales
Sell data, analytics, and market intelligence solutions to prospective customers.
Develop new revenue streams across financial, commercial, and industry sectors.
Partnership Development
Establish partnerships with industry associations, trade bodies, technology providers, and financial institutions.
Leverage partnerships to increase market reach, credibility, and lead generation.
Pipeline & Forecasting
Maintain accurate CRM records and opportunity forecasting.
Provide leadership with clear visibility of new business performance and outlook.
Market Intelligence
Monitor competitive activity, regulatory developments, and customer trends.
Contribute insights that support commercial strategy and product development.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Customer Success, Operations, Marketing, and Commercial teams to ensure successful onboarding and customer growth.
Experience & Skills
Minimum 10 years B2B sales experience ideally in the dairy, soft commodities, or related sector with a track record of identifying and developing new accounts and winning business through proactive prospecting, networking, and consultative selling techniques
Deep knowledge of the European dairy industry: understanding of how producers, co-operatives, and traders make selling decisions, and familiarity with key players across DACH, France, Netherlands, Ireland, and broader Europe. For those applying from outside of the dairy industry, demonstrated ability to adapt to a new industry and develop relationships and pipeline quickly.
Existing network of senior commercial relationships within European dairy or adjacent industries; able to open doors on the basis of personal credibility and professional standing
Experience selling a financial, exchange, or market intelligence product to dairy or commodity market participants is a strong advantage
Demonstrated ability to manage and convert a complex, multi-stakeholder sales pipeline over a 3-6 month cycle
Fluent in English; professional proficiency in German, Dutch, Italian, and/or French strongly preferred
Comfortable representing the organisation at industry events and building profile in a market where the brand is still growing
Experience building or managing institutional or channel partnerships (e.g. with industry associations, trade bodies, or complementary service providers) is an advantage
