Assistant Hub Manager

Monitors shipping and receiving reporting, Daily Distro and Production.
Perform duties using a safety-conscious attitude, improving safety knowledge of all employees.
Assist in directing warehouse activities to ensure efficient workflow, timely order fulfillment, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Assist in leading, training, and mentoring warehouse associates, leads, and support staff. Conduct performance evaluations and implement performance improvement plans when necessary
Motivate by example - partner with warehouse employees to perform daily activities and continuously improve performance. Teamwork is key!
Communicate effectively and positively with customers, coworkers, vendors, etc.
Review BI reports and investigate and strategize based on the reports to achieve operational strategy.
Assist the Hub Manager with interviews and training.
Accountable to Key Performance Indicators.
Computer literate: Printing tickets, UPS WorldShip, IBM’s AS/400 data management system, MS Office Suite, email, internet navigation.
Perform other assigned duties that are within the area of knowledge and skills required by the job.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
5 – 10 years of experience in a Distribution environment.
2 – 5 years of management or supeviso experience in a Distribution environment.
College degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
Ability to complete and pass a criminal background screening.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Requires the ability to lift, push, pull and carry tools and warehouse materials weighing 70+ pounds on a frequent basis.
Requires prolonged standing or walking, frequent bending, stooping, and reaching daily.
Requires the ability to climb ladders to pick or put away products.
Requires a full range of physical motion to operate manual and electrically powered tools and machines (i.e., forklift)
