About the role
Description supplied by the original job listing.
We are hiring a senior program and development leader to own cross-functional execution across a growing portfolio of company initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of program management and business development: you will drive complex, multi-stakeholder programs from commitment through delivery, and you will help shape and advance the partnerships, campaigns, and opportunities that feed that portfolio.
What You Will Do
• Own end-to-end execution of assigned programs, including scope, schedule, milestones, risks, and stakeholder communication, from kickoff through delivery.
• Serve as the connective tissue across engineering, operations, finance, legal, and external partners, ensuring decisions are made, documented, and carried through.
• Support development activity, including partner and customer engagement, proposal and campaign coordination, and preparation of executive-level materials for pursuits and negotiations.
• Build and maintain the program management infrastructure (cadences, dashboards, decision logs, and reporting) that gives leadership real-time visibility into portfolio health.
• Prepare briefings, memos, and board- and investor-ready materials summarizing program status, risks, and recommended actions.
• Identify and escalate risks early, and drive mitigation plans to closure rather than waiting for direction.
• Manage vendors, consultants, and cross-company working groups as needed to advance program objectives.
What You Bring
• 12+ years of program management, business development, or chief-of-staff-style operating experience, ideally in aerospace, energy, defense, or another complex technical industry.
• A track record of delivering multi-stakeholder programs with significant budgets, external counterparties, and executive visibility.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication; you produce crisp, decision-ready materials for senior audiences without prompting.
• Comfort operating with ambiguity in a startup environment: you define the process where none exists and flex between strategy and hands-on execution daily.
• Strong commercial instincts and experience supporting negotiations, proposals, or partnership development.
• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, engineering, or public policy) a plus.
Nice to Have
• Experience with government customers, regulatory processes, or international partnerships.
• Familiarity with aircraft development programs, wind energy, or large-scale industrial logistics.
• PMP or equivalent formal program management training.
