Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Technical Java Lead Developer to lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-grade backend applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, cloud technologies, and distributed systems, along with proven technical leadership skills. The candidate will work closely with architects, product owners, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance backend solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
Architect and develop Microservices-based applications following industry best practices.
Design and develop RESTful APIs and backend services for enterprise applications.
Collaborate with architects and business stakeholders to define technical solutions.
Lead technical design discussions, code reviews, and mentor development teams.
Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
Develop and integrate applications with databases, messaging systems, and third-party APIs.
Participate in system architecture, solution design, and technical decision-making.
Implement secure coding practices and ensure compliance with enterprise standards.
Troubleshoot production issues and provide root cause analysis.
Work closely with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Required Skills
10+ years of experience in Java Backend Development.
Strong hands-on expertise in Java 8/11/17.
Extensive experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA.
Strong experience designing and developing Microservices Architecture.
Expertise in RESTful APIs and backend service development.
Experience with Hibernate/JPA.
Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MySQL.
Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra.
Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or JMS.
Strong understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architecture.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience working on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
Strong knowledge of Git version control.
Experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
Knowledge of OAuth2, JWT, SAML, and secure authentication mechanisms.
Experience with logging and monitoring tools such as Splunk, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, or Dynatrace.
Leadership Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of backend developers.
Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
Drive technical excellence and best development practices.
Collaborate with Solution Architects and Product Owners to define technical roadmaps.
Provide technical guidance during design, development, deployment, and production support.
Lead performance optimization and application modernization initiatives.
Preferred Skills
Experience with event-driven architecture and Apache Kafka.
Experience with Redis or distributed caching solutions.
Exposure to GraphQL is a plus.
Knowledge of Terraform or Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Experience with enterprise-scale cloud-native applications.
Experience in financial services, healthcare, or enterprise application development is preferred.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
10+ years of enterprise Java backend development experience.
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
