About the role
Description supplied by the original job listing.
Do you love turning messy spreadsheets and email chains into tools people actually want to use? Want a role where you build real software for every department, from first prototype to finished product, with Lovable as your main build tool?
As a Web Developer & Lovable App Builder at ClearDesk, you'll work with Operations, HR, Accounting, Recruiting, Sales, Marketing and Client Success to replace manual work with reliable apps. You'll prototype in days, then harden each app with a real database, auth and integrations, and you'll know when AI-generated code is enough and when to step in and write it yourself. You'll take ownership across the different departments we have: comfortable developing new platforms from scratch, clear on the resources each project needs, and quick to collaborate with and connect to the right people to make things happen. You're someone who gets things done. If you're a hands-on builder who enjoys learning how teams work and shipping tools they rely on, this opportunity could be a great fit for you.
Our Story Starts with People Like You
The two founders, best friends, were running businesses that needed great talent fast. So, they started building remote teams across countries like the Philippines, Colombia, and India. Not only did it work, it thrived. They realized that talent isn't limited by geography. With today's technology and high-speed internet, we're able to build high-performing global teams that support businesses across the U.S. So ClearDesk was born.
Today, ClearDesk helps U.S. businesses grow by building world-class remote teams. We don't just connect talent; we manage the entire experience, from recruiting to retention. And while we help clients thrive, we also stay deeply committed to helping our remote team members build real, lasting careers that support their lives and their families.
That's where you come in.
The Role: Web Developer & Lovable App Builder
Imagine being the person every department turns to when a spreadsheet, email chain or checklist stops working. ClearDesk matches U.S. businesses with skilled virtual assistants from the Philippines, and we're hiring a web developer to build the software that runs the company. Using Lovable as your main build tool, you'll sit down with each team, learn how they work, and turn their manual processes into tools they want to use.
You'll own apps end to end: prototype in days, then harden with a real database, auth and integrations. And the best part? You'll do it all remotely, as a key builder in a global, mission-driven company.
What Your Days Might Look Like
Operations: Build tools for scheduling, task tracking, quality checks and day-to-day workflows, plus dashboards that show how the business is running.
Leadership: Build company-wide dashboards with the numbers each department reports on.
Design data models in Supabase (Postgres) with secure, role-based access so each team sees only what it should.
Integrate with the tools our teams use: Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, email, e-signature, accounting software and our website.
Export Lovable projects to GitHub, review and refactor generated code, and fix what prompting can't.
Protect employee, client and financial data, following U.S. and Philippine privacy rules (including the Philippine Data Privacy Act).
Beyond department tools, you'll also take on other projects across the business, such as:
Build web apps, internal tools and client-facing portals for any team that needs one.
Build landing pages, microsites, forms and lead-capture flows for marketing campaigns.
Create CRM-style tools, workflow automations and reporting dashboards that replace spreadsheets and manual steps.
Build quick prototypes and proofs of concept to test new product or service ideas.
Maintain, debug and improve existing apps, sites and integrations, whoever built them.
Evaluate and recommend new tools, AI features and no-code or low-code platforms when they fit better than custom code.
Write documentation and train teammates to use, and make small changes to, the tools you build.
Who We Think Will Thrive in This Role
You have 4+ years of experience building web applications, with a portfolio of shipped, live products.
You've shipped at least one real app with Lovable (or a similar AI app builder such as Bolt, v0 or Replit).
You're strong in React and TypeScript, and comfortable with Tailwind CSS and shadcn/ui.
You have Supabase or Postgres experience, including schema design, row-level security, auth, storage and edge functions.
You've built REST API and webhook integrations, including OAuth.
You're confident with a Git and GitHub workflow, and you have the judgment to review and debug AI-generated code.
You communicate clearly in writing with non-technical teammates and clients.
You're comfortable working in U.S. time zone.
You're comfortable working on many kinds of projects at once, setting priorities and taking a request from idea to launch with little supervision.
You can secure the required technical setup, including:
Primary internet connection of at least 35 Mbps with a reliable backup.
Your own main computer with advanced specs suited for development work (for example, Intel Core i7 or equivalent and 16 GB RAM or higher).
Backup laptop, backup internet device, and backup power source.
720p HD webcam and noise-canceling headset.
Nice to Have Qualifications
Experience in staffing or outsourcing, or with business tools like a CRM, HRIS, ATS or accounting software (QuickBooks or Xero).
Experience with LLM integrations (OpenAI or Anthropic APIs) for document processing, report summaries, resume screening or client matching.
Familiarity with Stripe or similar billing for recurring client invoicing.
Wix experience, or experience embedding apps and forms into an existing marketing site.
Experience testing with Playwright or Vitest, and deploying via Vercel or Netlify.
