We are seeking to elect two new Board members (and many Advisory Board members) as we prepare to enter our 20th year of impact!
• We are preparing to update our nonprofit's name to SmartResponse.
• Over 1,000 last-mile and locally-led organizations from 70+ countries and 30+ U.S. states have already registered on SmartResponse. Most share data and we use that information to curate localized and data-driven "where to donate" and "how to help" lists.
• We aim to serve as a resource across the philanthropic sector and improve the effectiveness and impact of hundreds of millions of dollars of post-disaster donations.
• Founded after Hurricane Katrina, our reports and advocacy have been covered by global media from The New York Times to CNN to The Hill and more.
• We have over 100 volunteers involved.... and many from top companies.
• Yes - We're listed on Benevity, CyberGrants, and other corporate matching platforms.
• We previously received the competitive Echoing Green fellowship.
We're looking for Board members that can help by:
• opening doors
• introducing SmartResponse to colleagues across the CSR and philanthropic sectors
• supporting our life-saving work
• increasing our capacity to scale our impact
