Collaborating Psychiatrist (MD/DO) – Florida | Remote, Part-Time 1099
Health Hero Behavioral Health Services is a growing Florida-based psychiatric and behavioral health practice seeking a Florida-licensed psychiatrist interested in establishing a long-term collaborative relationship with our psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners (PMHNPs).
This flexible, primarily remote opportunity is ideal for an experienced psychiatrist seeking supplemental professional income while supporting safe, evidence-based psychiatric care.
Responsibilities
Establish and maintain appropriate physician–APRN supervisory protocols where legally required.
Provide clinical consultation and case discussions for participating PMHNPs.
Participate in chart reviews and quality-assurance activities as agreed upon and required.
Support clinical decision-making involving complex psychiatric presentations and medication management.
Provide appropriate consultation regarding controlled-substance prescribing and patient safety.
Maintain required collaboration documentation and professional availability.
Participate in periodic virtual meetings as agreed upon.
Qualifications
Active, unrestricted Florida MD or DO license.
Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry; board certification preferred.
Experience in psychiatric medication management.
Familiarity with Florida APRN supervisory protocol requirements.
Strong communication skills and commitment to patient safety.
Professional liability coverage appropriate to the agreed responsibilities.
Compensation & Schedule
Part-time, independent contractor opportunity.
Flexible remote collaboration.
Compensation negotiable based on the number of participating PMHNPs, required responsibilities, and consultation workload.
No routine patient caseload required unless separately agreed upon.
