Unpaid Machine Learning Intern

Important: This is a completely unpaid role. There is no salary, hourly wage, stipend, or other monetary compensation associated with this position.
This role is intended for individuals who are interested in contributing to the development of a free and open-source large language model that will be made available for anyone to use, contribute to, build upon, or integrate into their own applications. Our goal is to help make advanced AI more accessible by creating a model that individuals and developers can use without paying a recurring subscription or usage fee.
Contributors will work alongside the team on the research, development, testing, training, documentation, and improvement of the open-source model. The project is community-focused, and we welcome people who are passionate about expanding access to AI and contributing their skills to technology that can benefit the broader public.
International students: If you are studying in the United States on a student visa, participation in this role may require prior employment or practical-training authorization through your university and, where applicable, U.S. immigration authorities. International students are responsible for confirming eligibility with their university's international student office or Designated School Official and obtaining any required authorization, such as CPT or other applicable authorization, before beginning work. The fact that this position is unpaid does not necessarily eliminate immigration or employment-authorization requirements.
