Position: Nightclub Security Guard – Armed / Unarmed (Part-Time)

Schedule: Fridays & Saturdays, 9:30 PM – 2:30 AM
Weekly Hours: 10 hours
Pay Rate: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour, Depending on Experience (DOE)

Job Overview
Delta Security Services is seeking professional, dependable, and experienced Armed and Unarmed Security Guards to provide security services at a busy nightclub in Phoenix, Arizona.
Ideal candidates will maintain a professional security presence, communicate effectively with patrons, manage challenging situations, and help provide a safe environment for guests and employees.
Responsibilities include verifying identification, conducting entry screenings, monitoring patron behavior, enforcing venue policies, and responding to disturbances in a fast-paced nightlife environment.
IMPORTANT – STRICTLY PART-TIME POSITION
This position is for Friday and Saturday nights ONLY, from 9:30 PM to 2:30 AM, totaling approximately 10 hours per week.
No additional shifts or full-time hours are available at this assignment. Applicants seeking full-time employment must apply separately for other available full-time positions with Delta Security Services.
Applicants must be willing and available to work the established schedule consistently.
Key Responsibilities
Entry Screening & Access Control
Conduct professional and respectful security screenings of patrons entering the nightclub.
Check for weapons, contraband, and prohibited items in accordance with venue policies.
Monitor access points and prevent unauthorized entry.
Enforce venue rules while maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor.
Identification & Age Verification
Verify identification to ensure patrons meet the minimum legal drinking age of 21.
Recognize potentially fraudulent or altered identification.
Deny entry when necessary in accordance with venue policies and applicable laws.
Crowd Control & Conflict Management
Monitor crowds and identify potential disturbances before they escalate.
Address intoxicated, aggressive, or disorderly individuals professionally.
Utilize verbal de-escalation techniques to resolve conflicts whenever possible.
Assist with safely removing individuals from the venue when necessary and authorized.
Arizona Liquor Law Compliance
Assist nightclub management with maintaining compliance with Arizona Title 4 liquor laws.
Identify and report suspected underage drinking, excessive intoxication, and other potential violations.
Coordinate with management regarding patrons who may need to be denied entry or service.
Incident Response & Reporting
Respond promptly to disturbances, altercations, medical emergencies, and other security incidents.
Contact law enforcement or emergency medical services when appropriate.
Document incidents accurately and communicate relevant information to supervisors and management.
Teamwork & Professionalism
Work closely with fellow security guards, nightclub management, and employees.
Maintain a professional appearance and attitude throughout each shift.
Remain alert, attentive, and actively engaged in assigned security duties.
Minimum Qualifications
Must possess a valid Arizona DPS Unarmed or Armed Security Guard License.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be available Friday and Saturday nights from 9:30 PM to 2:30 AM.
Must have reliable transportation and maintain consistent attendance.
Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with intoxicated or confrontational individuals.
Ability to stand and remain active for extended periods.
Must successfully complete applicable pre-employment screening requirements.
Armed applicants must meet all applicable Arizona DPS armed security licensing and firearm qualification requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred.
Previous nightclub, bar, entertainment venue, or event security experience.
Experience with ID verification, entry screening, and crowd management.
Knowledge of Arizona Title 4 liquor laws.
Arizona Title 4 Basic Liquor Law Training certification.
CPR/First Aid certification.
Prior law enforcement, military, or security experience.
Compensation & Scheduling
Unarmed Security Guards: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour, DOE
Armed Security Guards: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour, DOE
Compensation is determined by relevant experience, qualifications, and assigned position.
Workdays: Friday and Saturday ONLY
Shift Hours: 9:30 PM – 2:30 AM
Weekly Hours: Approximately 10 hours
