Position: PDF Annotation & Transcription Experts – Telugu
Type: Contract
Compensation: $10–$11/hour
Location: Remote
Role Responsibilities
Evaluate and confirm the legibility and content of provided Telugu PDF pages. Ensure no personal details are present.
Annotate structure by identifying and bounding every meaningful region such as document titles, sections, and tables.
Record relationships by linking each region to its parent component, like figures or tables.
Transcribe text faithfully in Telugu script, including handwritten content. Flag any illegible regions.
Capture page metadata including language, document type, and page dimensions.
Review a colleague's work as a second Telugu expert to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Qualifications
Must-Have
Native fluency in Telugu with full command of the script.
Experience in document annotation, transcription, or related fields.
High attention to detail with character-level accuracy.
Systematic approach to applying taxonomy across documents.
Comfort with complex layouts such as multi-column newspapers and handwritten forms.
Preferred
Experience in regional-language AI data annotation and bilingual evaluation.
Skills in transcription, localization, and OCR correction.
Knowledge of document production and Unicode normalization.
