About the role
Description supplied by the original job listing.
At Tilted, we build an amazing AI harness custom built for the agent fleet operating layer where complex developer tools can be used to assist developers with complex tasks that requires extra capabilities beyond what existing coding models can assist them with like Opus and Astra for example. Tilted natively blends core dev tools with high orchestration AI agent studios, encrypted API vaults, and live community hubs.
Tilted's platform succeeds when builders use it to share custom agent configurations, showcase what they’ve built, and collaborate live. We are looking for an exceptional leader to champion our community ecosystem, tell the Tilted story, and cultivate an energized developer culture.
The Role
As our Head of DevRel / Community Manager, you will be the bridge between Tilted and the global builder ecosystem. You will directly manage a team focused on developer marketing, technical content, and community event planning. Your primary mission is to turn Tilted into the default watering hole for AI builders through high-impact events like technical AMAs, interactive hackathons, and live agent-building streams.
As our Head of Developer Relations, your primary mission is to turn Tilted into the foundational home for the global open-source AI developer community. We are not just building a product; we are building an open ecosystem where developers actively collaborate, fork custom agent configurations, build new tool bindings, and push the boundaries of agentic workspaces. You will sit at the intersection of product, engineering, and growth, acting as both the primary advocate for our community and the strategic leader of our developer go-to-market efforts. By championing open-source contributions, transparency, and a builder-first culture, you will transform passive users into highly active code contributors and ecosystem evangelists.
To achieve this, you will directly lead and scale a high-velocity team of technical community managers, event planners, and content creators. Your team's daily heartbeat will revolve around designing world-class developer experiences anchored by highly interactive technical AMAs, open-source hackathons, live repository walkthroughs, and real-time community feature drops. You will own the strategy for keeping channels like our Discord and GitHub Discussions vibrant, technical, and welcoming. Ultimately, success in this role means establishing a thriving, self-sustaining community of open-source developers who choose Tilted as their default workspace because it is explicitly built by them and for them.
What You'll Do
Lead Event Strategy & Planning: Oversee and execute a continuous calendar of developer events, including technical AMAs, builder showcases, feature-drop streams, and hackathons.
Manage the Community Team: Direct a team of event planners, moderators, and content creators to keep our Discord, GitHub Discussions, and in-app Tilted Loop vibrant, safe, and highly engaged.
Be the Face of Tilted: Act as a core developer evangelist, breaking down complex updates (like new agent personas, vault bindings, or workflow automations) into accessible, exciting stories. [1]
Own the Feedback Loop: Funnel key insights, friction points, and feature requests from the community directly back to our core engineering and product teams.
Drive Go-To-Market (GTM) Adoption: Collaborate with growth teams to amplify community-generated templates and custom agent configs, making organic user-generated content our biggest growth lever.
What We're Looking For
Community Leadership Experience: 4+ years of experience in Developer Relations, Developer Advocacy, or Technical Community Management, with a proven track record of managing event-driven teams.
AI & Builder Ecosystem Fluent: You deeply understand the current state of AI agents, APIs, LLMs, and dev tools. You can comfortably talk shop with technical builders and engineers.
Master Event Host: High energy, exceptional public speaking skills, and experience hosting live digital events (AMAs on Discord/X, live streams, or webinars).
Empathy-First Mindset: A genuine passion for helping developers solve problems, celebrate their wins, and feel supported in the ecosystem.
