Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and client-focused Interior Designer who can manage the complete journey from initial lead contact to design finalization and project handover. The candidate will be responsible for calling prospective clients, understanding their requirements, converting leads into confirmed projects, preparing interior designs, and coordinating with the operations team for smooth project execution.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Calling & Client Coordination
* Call and follow up with incoming leads generated through marketing, website inquiries, and other channels.
* Understand clients’ requirements, budgets, preferences, property details, and project timelines.
* Schedule client meetings, site visits, and design consultations.
* Maintain regular follow-ups and update lead status in the company portal/CRM.
* Build strong client relationships and ensure a professional customer experience.
2. Sales & Lead Conversion
* Present the company’s interior design and turnkey execution services to prospective clients.
* Explain design concepts, materials, specifications, pricing, and project timelines.
* Prepare and present quotations and proposals in coordination with the relevant team.
* Handle client objections, clarify doubts, negotiate within approved limits, and convert leads into confirmed projects.
* Ensure timely booking confirmation and collection of required advance payments.
* Achieve assigned monthly lead-conversion and project-booking targets.
3. Interior Design & Planning
* Understand client requirements and develop suitable interior design concepts.
* Prepare space plans, furniture layouts, 2D drawings, 3D designs, and material selections as required.
* Discuss design proposals with clients and incorporate approved revisions.
* Explain materials, finishes, hardware, furniture specifications, and design feasibility.
* Ensure designs align with client requirements, approved budgets, and company standards.
* Coordinate with drafting and visualization teams whenever required.
4. Project Handover to Operations
* Conduct a complete handover of confirmed projects to the Operations Manager and execution team.
* Submit approved 2D and 3D designs, final BOQ, material specifications, measurements, quotations, and client requirements.
* Explain special design details, custom furniture, site constraints, and execution requirements.
* Ensure all client approvals and essential project documents are completed before handover.
* Attend handover meetings and clarify any pending points to avoid execution errors.
5. Design Support & Doubt Clarification
* Assist the operations team, site supervisors, and execution staff in resolving design-related doubts.
* Clarify drawings, dimensions, material selections, finishes, and furniture details.
* Review site queries and provide design clarifications or revised drawings when required.
* Coordinate with clients and internal teams for design changes, obtaining approval before implementation.
* Support quality and design consistency throughout project execution.
6. Reporting & Documentation
* Maintain accurate lead, follow-up, quotation, booking, and design-approval records in the company portal.
* Update project status and submit daily work reports to the reporting manager.
* Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, approvals, and handover documents.
* Coordinate with Sales, Design, Purchase, and Operations teams to ensure smooth workflow.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
* Strong communication, client-handling, presentation, and negotiation skills.
* Knowledge of residential interiors, modular furniture, materials, and interior execution.
* Ability to understand measurements, drawings, BOQs, and 3D visualizations.
* Working knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, and rendering software; knowledge of other design tools is an advantage.
* Familiarity with CRM, project management portals, and basic quotation preparation.
* Strong follow-up discipline, problem-solving ability, and a target-oriented mindset.
* Freshers with strong design and communication skills may be considered; relevant experience is preferred.

* Number of leads contacted and followed up with on time.
* Lead-to-site-visit and lead-to-booking conversion rates.
* Monthly confirmed projects and booking value.
* Speed and accuracy of quotations and design submissions.
* Timely completion of client design approvals.
* Completeness and accuracy of project handovers.
* Response time for operations-related design queries.
* Client satisfaction and reduction in design-related execution errors.
Expected Work Approach
The Interior Designer is expected to take ownership of the client journey from the first call through design finalization and project handover, while remaining available to support the operations team on design clarifications. The role combines sales, client management, interior design, and execution coordination.
