Sydney | Investment technology | Client-facing technical role
Working in technology at a bank, or in investment operations with strong Python skills? Interested in taking that experience into a software company and working more closely with clients?
We’re working with an international investment technology firm whose software helps financial institutions manage investment data and improve their workflows. They’re looking for someone who understands financial markets, enjoys solving technical problems and can explain their ideas clearly.
You’ll use Python, SQL and APIs to build practical solutions, demonstrate the technology and help clients solve investment data challenges.
What you’ll do
Understand clients’ investment processes, data challenges and requirements.
Build demonstrations and proofs of concept using Python, SQL and the firm’s platform.
Run workshops and explain solutions to technical and business audiences.
Work with sales, product and engineering colleagues to shape the right solution.
Who could suit this

Someone from a financial technology vendor with relevant coding and client-facing skills.
You’ll need practical Python skills, familiarity with SQL and an understanding of financial products or investment workflows. You should be comfortable explaining what your code does and talking through a problem with others.
Previous client solutions experience isn’t essential. This role supports the commercial team through demonstrations, workshops and solution design.
You’ll work closely with the local ANZ team and a global solutions team. Initial training is planned in London. The role is based in Sydney with flexible office attendance.
