You will work closely with project and tender teams, suppliers and subcontractors to secure best-value outcomes while ensuring goods and services meet technical, quality, safety and environmental requirements.
This is an office-based role located at our Brisbane head office.
Key responsibilities
Working within the Pre-Contracts department, prepare vendor Requests for Quotation, including technical scope, commercial, schedule, quality, safety and environmental requirements.
Complete commercial bid analyses, internal approval documentation and Recommendations to Award where required.
Identify supply chains, and source goods and services that deliver the best overall outcome for the project across cost, schedule, quality, safety and environmental performance.

Track delivery dockets, maintain registers of products received and keep the Procurement Status Register current.
Monitor order values and forecast expenditure, working with Commercial, Contracts and Project Management teams to support effective budget control.
Verify supplier invoices against purchase and contract orders before payment.
Contribute to procurement strategies and support tender responses, management plans, estimating activities and pre-contract supplier engagement.
About you
To succeed in this role, you will bring practical construction procurement experience, sound commercial judgement and the ability to build productive relationships with a broad range of stakeholders. You will also have:
A Certificate IV in Purchasing or equivalent relevant experience.
Minimum 5 years’ purchasing or procurement experience within heavy construction or infrastructure; pipeline construction experience will be highly regarded.
Practical experience using an ERP system, ideally Si Compta or a comparable platform.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, financial and negotiation skills.
Experience with estimating, costing, planning, budgets and expenditure forecasts.
High level computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
High level of English language skills (written and verbal).
Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence and support multiple stakeholders.
Strong planning, organisation and relationship-management capabilities.
A positive, resilient and adaptable approach, with a commitment to continuous improvement, teamwork and safe, compliant work practices.
Why join Spiecapag?
Join a collaborative project environment where your procurement expertise will directly support the safe, efficient and commercially successful delivery of major infrastructure works. You will work with experienced construction, commercial, logistics, engineering and project teams while building strong supplier partnerships.
