Position description: This managerial role is responsible for overseeing the entire IT landscape, including infrastructure, systems, networks, cloud, security, and internal service delivery. The role ensures smooth day-to-day operations, alignment of IT strategy with business goals, and implementation of scalable, secure, and efficient technology solutions. It requires hands-on technical expertise, team management capabilities, and strong vendor and stakeholder management skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Manage overall IT operations, infrastructure, and internal IT service desk
Ensure IT uptime and system availability
Manage Incident resolution time and service desk ticket closure rate
Monitor End-user satisfaction (CSAT) scores
2. Lead IT staff – recruitment, training, goal-setting, and performance appraisal
Manage the Attrition rate of IT staff
Ensure adherence to the mandates Training hours per IT team member
Monitor Team performance evaluation metrics
3. Manage and secure network, server, storage, and virtualization infrastructure
Monitor Network uptime and latency metrics
Evaluate the Number of successful system audits passed
Ensure Reduction in security incidents or vulnerabilities
4. Ensure data security, network access, and backup reliability
Monitor Backup success rate and recovery time objective (RTO)
Evaluate the Number of data breaches or policy violations
Monitor Frequency of penetration tests and audit compliance
VAPT, Surface scans, SOC/NOC
5. Design and implement IT policies, processes, and system upgrades
Monitor the Number of policy/process documents implemented and updated annually
Monitor the Frequency of system upgrades completed within timeline
Evaluate the Internal audit compliance score
ISO compliances
DPDP compliances
6. Oversee cloud operations and drive cloud transformation strategy
Monitor the % of infrastructure moved to cloud (if applicable)
Evaluate the Cloud cost optimization score
Ensure reduction in the Downtime of cloud services
7. Identify and integrate emerging technologies to enhance operational flexibility and efficiency
AI literate
Monitor the Number of pilot initiatives tested and adopted
Ensure achievement of budgeted ROI from newly implemented technologies
Ensure achievement of the User adoption rate of new platforms
8. Build IT strategies and annual operating plan (AOP) aligned with business growth
Ensure Adherence to IT AOP budget
Ensure Timely delivery of IT strategy updates
Monitor Business feedback on IT’s strategic alignment
9. Conduct workshops and staff training for IT awareness and compliance
Monitor the Number of training sessions conducted annually
Ensure Improvement in staff IT awareness assessment scores
Improve the Participation rate in workshops
10. Vendor and contract management
Ensure Cost savings via vendor negotiations
Ensure SLA compliance by vendors
Monitor the Vendor performance review score
11. Serve as internal project manager, IT auditor, and compliance lead
Monitor the Number of internal IT projects delivered on time
Evaluate the Audit score and number of non-conformities
Ensure Software/hardware compliance adherence
12. Collaborate with department heads to support business IT requirements
Lead the IT-business alignment meetings
Monitor Stakeholder satisfaction scores
Evaluate the % of business IT requests implemented successfully
Additional Responsibilities:
• Proven working experience as an IT Manager or relevant experience.
• Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis, and of computer hardware/software systems
• ITIL, ITSM, Process Implementation.
• Expertise in data center management and data governance
• Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration, and network installation
• Hands-on experience managing the security of data, and systems security.

Educational qualifications preferred
Degree: Post Graduate in Computers technology
