Sr. Agronomist

We're hiring: Senior Agronomist (Polyhouse & Open Field) | Varanasi🌱
At Karmyogi Global, we supply graded fresh fruits and vegetables to leading quick-commerce platforms, sourcing directly from farmers and running our operations on our own technology. Better produce at the farm means fewer rejections, higher farmer income and more reliable supply. That starts with great agronomy.
We're looking for a Senior Agronomist to lead crop planning and quality across our demo farm and our network of partner farmers.
What you'll do ?
- Plan and manage polyhouse cultivation of exotic and premium vegetables such as coloured capsicum, English cucumber, cherry tomato, broccoli, lettuce, basil and baby corn
- Guide open-field cultivation of seasonal vegetables with our partner farmers
- Build crop calendars, nursery plans and sowing schedules matched to buyer demand
- Manage nutrition, fertigation and irrigation schedules
- Lead integrated pest and disease management, with safe, approved spraying and pre-harvest intervals that keep produce within residue limits (MRL)
- Train partner farmers on good agricultural practices (GAP), harvesting and post-harvest handling
- Help forecast harvest volume and timing so we can commit supply to buyers
- Create and maintain crop SOPs, and track yield and quality on every field
What we're looking for ?
- B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Agriculture or Horticulture
- 5+ years of hands-on experience, including protected cultivation (polyhouse / net house)
- Strong knowledge of exotic vegetables, fertigation and integrated pest management
- Experience working directly with farmers; fluent Hindi
- Comfortable with field travel and smartphone-based record keeping
- Familiarity with GAP certification or residue-testing standards is a plus
