Industrial Designer / Design Engineer

About the Role
We are looking for a creative and technically skilled Industrial Designer / Design Engineer to develop innovative STEM and Robotics toys for children. The role involves designing educational products, creating 2D/3D models, developing prototypes, and ensuring product functionality, safety, and ease of manufacturing.
This opportunity is ideal for candidates with a background in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or Product Design who want to build their careers in educational product development, STEM learning, and Robotics.
Preferred Experience
Candidates with 1+ year of relevant experience in product design, 3D modelling, prototyping, CAD/CAM, or Robotics toy development are encouraged to apply. Hands-on experience in STEM and Robotics product development will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop STEM, Robotics, and educational toys for children.
Create 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other relevant design tools.
Develop prototypes and test product functionality, usability, and safety.
Convert product concepts into practical, manufacturable designs.
Coordinate with manufacturing and production teams for product development and mass production.
Research educational toy trends, materials, mechanisms, and age-appropriate product requirements.
Improve existing designs based on testing, functionality, and manufacturing feasibility.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Product Design.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and Master's in Industrial Design is preferable.
Proficiency in design software including AutoCAD, Solidworks, Keyshot and Adobe Creative Suite.
Passion for STEM & Robotics education and prior relevant working experience.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a creative mindset.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
