Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Network Security Consultant with strong technical expertise in Check Point and Fortinet FortiGate firewall technologies. The candidate will be responsible for firewall administration, implementation, configuration, troubleshooting, security policy management, and optimization of enterprise network security infrastructure.
The ideal candidate should possess strong hands-on technical skills, excellent troubleshooting capabilities, and experience managing complex firewall environments.
Key Responsibilites:
Administer, configure, and maintain Check Point and FortiGate firewall infrastructure.
Implement and manage firewall security policies, access control rules, NAT, and security objects.
Configure and troubleshoot IPsec site-to-site VPNs and remote-access VPN solutions.
Manage firewall high availability (HA), cluster configurations, and failover testing.
Perform firewall upgrades, patch management, configuration backups, and firmware maintenance.
Monitor firewall logs, investigate connectivity issues, and perform root cause analysis.
Conduct firewall rule reviews, policy optimization, and security compliance assessments.
Support firewall deployment, migration, upgrades, and infrastructure transformation projects.
Troubleshoot network security issues involving routing, switching, TCP/IP, DNS, and application connectivity.
Collaborate with network, infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams to ensure secure and reliable network operations.
Prepare technical documentation, change implementation plans, and incident reports.
Follow ITIL-based incident, problem, and change management processes.
Strong hands-on experience with Check Point firewalls, Security Gateways, and Security Management.
Expertise in Fortinet FortiGate firewall configuration, administration, and troubleshooting.
Good understanding of firewall policies, NAT, VPN, routing, and access control.
Experience with Check Point management platforms and FortiManager/FortiAnalyzer is an advantage.
Knowledge of high availability, cluster management, and firewall performance troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, DNS, and DHCP.
Experience with firewall log analysis, packet captures, and root cause analysis.
Relevant industry certifications are preferred:
Check Point CCSA / CCSE
Fortinet FCP / FCSS
