As a Talent Development Associate, you’ll help make learning happen smoothly across Proximity Designs. You’ll be the operational backbone behind a wide range of learning activities, from onboarding programs and workshops, to online courses, and leadership development initiatives. Working closely with employees, managers, and the rest of the Talent Development team, you will ensure learning is organised, accessible, and valuable for nearly 300 employees across both our Yangon and field-based teams.
This role goes beyond coordination. You’ll also use data, digital tools, and AI to reduce manual work, streamline processes, strengthen communication and support learning across Proximity. If you’re someone who enjoys helping others grow, staying organized, and finding smarter ways of working, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to our people and mission.
Once You’re Here, You Will:
Coordinate learning and development programmes, workshops, online courses, and other learning initiatives across Proximity.
Manage learning schedules, logistics, preparation, and communications to ensure smooth delivery of learning activities.
Maintain learning systems, resources, and records to ensure information is accurate and accessible.
Provide day-to-day support to employees on learning-related enquiries and troubleshoot issues with our online learning system.
Monitor learning participation, course completion, and feedback to identify gaps and opportunities to improve learning effectiveness.
Prepare learning reports and summaries to track progress and support data-informed decisions.
Develop and maintain practical learning resources to support employee development and self-paced learning.
Explore AI, automation, and other digital tools to streamline learning processes, reduce manual work, and improve the learning experience.
Must-Haves:
Relevant experience or transferable skills in coordinating events, learning activities, project support, or similar activities. Fresh graduates with strong potential are welcome to apply.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines reliably.
Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
A service-minded, accountable, and proactive approach to work, with a strong interest in improving processes and finding better ways of working.
A genuine interest in employee learning and development for a diverse workforce, while contributing to Proximity’s mission.
Proficiency in common workplace tools such as Google Workspace and Zoom, with a willingness to learn new digital tools and AI technologies.
Willingness to travel as needed.
Added Bonus:
Experience using an LMS, HRIS, CRM, or other structured digital system, particularly with remote or distributed teams.
Practical experience using AI tools, automation, data visualisation, or other digital tools to improve work processes, create learning resources, or support learning and development activities.
In return…
You’ll earn a competitive salary, with medical benefits, and incredible opportunities to develop your career. You can expect an amazing office with the forward-thinking people and world-class training opportunities through Proximity School.
You’ll get to see more of the world, with the potential for international travel to conferences and events to keep your skills sharp.
And, ultimately, you’ll have the opportunity to change lives in Myanmar for the better, while doing groundbreaking work.
About Proximity
Proximity Designs is tackling globally important issues at the nexus of climate change, deep poverty, food insecurity, and inequality. We do this by helping hundreds of thousands of rural people care for their soils, grow more food, earn better incomes and build resilience against climate change. We address a critical market failure, by designing and delivering products and services needed to make farming families more productive, profitable and environmentally sustainable. We offer our low-income customers a suite of innovative and affordable farm solutions such as micro-irrigation systems, bio-fertilizers and bio-pesticides, and on-call crop protection services.
Over the past 24 years, we’ve generated USD 1.6 billion in additional income for 1.3 million poor farming households across rural Myanmar. With this income increase, farmers can invest in their future: education for their children, more nutritious food, better healthcare and investments in their farms or other village enterprises.
