Role Description This full-time on-site role is based in Bengaluru and focuses on automation engineering and technician responsibilities within the Product Data Collection and Analysis and Vision Hive Tableau Clortho MTTR LAD SFC team. The Automation Engineer-Technician will support, monitor, and optimize automated systems, including robotics and process control equipment, to ensure stable and efficient production. Day-to-day tasks include configuring and maintaining automation hardware and software, troubleshooting equipment and system issues, and analyzing production and maintenance data to reduce MTTR and improve line performance. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement improvements, maintaining dashboards and reports in tools such as Vision Hive and Tableau, and ensuring accurate product data collection and traceability. The engineer-technician will also adhere to safety and quality standards, document technical procedures, and support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Automation and Robotics, including setup, configuration, and maintenance of automated production equipment.
Candidates should possess solid Process Control skills, with experience in monitoring, tuning, and optimizing production processes and related systems.
Candidates should possess Electrical Engineering skills, including understanding of industrial electrical systems, sensors, controllers, and wiring practices.
Candidates should possess Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues in automation and data collection systems.
Relevant experience with manufacturing execution systems (MES), SFC, data collection tools, and visualization platforms such as Tableau or similar dashboards.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and documentation, and to document maintenance activities and system changes clearly.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with engineering, production, and maintenance teams in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related discipline; experience in large-scale electronics or automotive manufacturing is an advantage.
