About the Company
Enver is a leading VR game studio and publisher headquartered in New York City. We build viral, social gaming worlds and are known for top-tier publishing and marketing, with creator-led campaigns behind some of the biggest titles in VR, including chart-topping games on Meta Quest. Our specialty is social, live-ops driven multiplayer games built around communities, creators, and content loops.
About the Role
You'll own game analytics across all our titles, with BigQuery as your home base. You decide what we track, keep the data trustworthy, and turn it into calls on retention, monetization, and LiveOps. The full data pipeline and analysis end to end. You'll work directly with the founders and game leads, so this is part analyst, part product partner. We want someone who doesn't just answer questions but tells us which ones to ask, and what to ship next.
Responsibilities
Keep custom dashboards accurate and up to date across every game, and own the KPIs behind them (DAU, D1/D7/D30 retention, conversion, ARPDAU, LTV).
Work with game teams to spec their analytics implementation plans: what to track across the whole game, and for each LiveOps update and new feature.
Analyze every LiveOps update at regular data checkpoints after release, and report back to the teams with clear feedback on what to keep, change, or cut.
Handle ad hoc requests for specific data and features from game teams and leadership, turning loose questions into clear answers quickly.
Audit telemetry so BigQuery matches what players did and what the stores paid out.
Run funnel and cohort analyses on onboarding, tutorials, progression, sessions, and churn.
Design, size, and read A/B tests, then recommend what to ship.
Analyze game economies and monetization: bundles, challenges, limited-time events, and pricing.
Build and maintain clean, documented, cost-efficient BigQuery tables the whole studio can query.
Share findings in a weekly review and short written reads that end in a recommendation.
Data modeling with Dataform or dbt, plus scheduled queries and pipelines.
Qualifications
5+ years in data or product analytics, including 2+ years at a game company working on a live game.
Expert SQL in BigQuery: window functions, nested and repeated fields (UNNEST, STRUCT, ARRAY), partitioning and clustering, and keeping query costs down.
Hands-on free-to-play and LiveOps analysis: retention, monetization, economy, and event performance.
A/B testing done right: sample sizing, significance, and guardrail metrics.
Python (pandas) for analysis beyond SQL, and charts people understand at a glance.
Experience defining an event taxonomy and working with engineers on tracking.
Clear writing, and the confidence to recommend a call to founders.
Self-directed and comfortable in a remote, contractor-heavy team.
Bonus Skills
VR or multiplayer game analytics, especially on Meta Quest.
Game telemetry sources such as Game Analytics
Daily use of AI tools like Claude Code to move faster.
