Category Manager

Role Description The Category Manager role at The Paper Cup Company is a part-time, hybrid position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with flexibility for some work from home. The Category Manager will oversee assigned product categories, analyze market and sales data, and develop strategies to optimize assortment, pricing, and profitability. This role involves collaborating with procurement to manage supplier relationships, supporting contract negotiations, and ensuring availability and quality of products. The Category Manager will work closely with sales teams to align category plans with customer needs, drive promotional initiatives, and monitor performance against targets. Day-to-day activities include reviewing reports, updating category plans, coordinating with internal stakeholders, and identifying opportunities for growth and cost savings.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Category Management experience, with a track record of managing product portfolios and developing category strategies.
Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills, including data interpretation, forecasting, and performance analysis to support decision-making.
Candidates should possess capabilities in Procurement and Contract Negotiation to manage suppliers, secure favorable terms, and ensure continuity of supply.
Candidates should possess Sales-related skills, including stakeholder engagement, commercial awareness, and the ability to support revenue growth.
Relevant experience in FMCG, packaging, or manufacturing environments is beneficial.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting and across cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in MS Excel and other analytics or ERP tools is advantageous.
A bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
