Role Description The Electrical Engineer will work on-site in Bengaluru in a full-time capacity, supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of electrical systems within power projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing electrical designs and drawings, supporting power distribution and power system layouts, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations. The role involves performing load calculations, reviewing technical specifications, coordinating with project managers, contractors, and other engineering disciplines, and participating in site inspections and commissioning activities. The Electrical Engineer will troubleshoot electrical issues, assist in root-cause analysis, and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency. This position also requires documentation of project activities, reporting progress, and contributing to quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering and practical understanding of electricity principles, with the ability to apply them in power projects.
Proficiency in Electrical Design, including layouts, schematics, and technical documentation for industrial or utility environments.
Hands-on experience with Power Distribution systems, including panels, switchgear, and protection devices.
Knowledge of Power Systems analysis, operation, and protection, including load flow, short-circuit, and reliability considerations.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
Familiarity with relevant electrical codes, standards, and safety practices (e.g., IEC, IS standards, or equivalent).
Ability to use electrical design and analysis software (such as AutoCAD, ETAP, or similar tools) is beneficial.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively on-site with multidisciplinary teams.
Effective written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports, documentation, and coordinating with stakeholders.
Prior experience in power projects, utilities, or industrial facilities in or around Bengaluru is an advantage.
