Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done. Minor Hotels employees always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their colleagues. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:
Welcome children and parents or guardians warmly, explain Kids Club activities, operating hours, participation requirements and relevant safety arrangements.
Follow the resort’s child safeguarding and supervision procedures at all times, including age eligibility, required supervision levels and approved check-in and check-out arrangements.
Confirm that each child is registered in accordance with the applicable SOPs, and record attendance, authorized collection details, relevant allergies and other information needed for safe participation.
Ensure children are actively supervised throughout each activity; never leave a child unattended or release a child to an unauthorized person.
Plan, prepare and conduct fun, inclusive and age-appropriate indoor and outdoor activities, drawing where appropriate on Maldivian culture, creativity, games and family-friendly resort experiences.
Assess activity areas, equipment and materials before use, maintain cleanliness and hygiene, and promptly remove or report any hazards or defective items.
Follow approved procedures for outdoor, beach and water-related activities; do not take children into higher-risk activities without the required authorization, trained supervision and safety controls.
Understand and follow emergency, first aid, missing-child and incident-reporting procedures; promptly alert the designated supervisor or emergency response team when assistance is needed.
Communicate clearly and respectfully with parents or guardians about activities, child participation, concerns and handover arrangements, while protecting confidential personal information.
Coordinate with Villa Hosts, Front Office, Recreation, Housekeeping and other relevant departments to support activity promotion, guest requests and smooth daily operations.
Provide accurate information about Kids Club facilities, scheduled programmes and relevant resort services, referring questions outside the role’s authority to the appropriate department.
Maintain daily activity schedules, participation counts, supplies and required records, and report equipment needs or operational concerns to the reporting manager.
Collect guest feedback and monitor activity participation; propose practical improvements to increase engagement and strengthen the family guest experience.
Handle guest comments or complaints professionally, escalate safeguarding and service concerns promptly, and follow up on assigned actions.
Attend briefings, mandatory training and relevant resort events; maintain a professional appearance and act in accordance with Minor Hotels service standards.
Carry out other reasonable duties related to the position, as assigned by management and consistent with applicable policies, training and safe working practices.
At all times, team members must follow the Team Member Handbook and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
